Our world of unshakable certainties has crashed, shattered. We have the clear perception that our life is in the making. We feel that the direction taken eludes us, and this makes everything so precarious and uncertain. Ideas, ideals, emotions and relationships have simply become broken dreams: they are no longer strong holds to hold on to. Starting from these considerations I tried to imagine a sound that reflected this thought, a music, a melancholic world (drones and chords in minor), dilated (persistent chords and arpeggios), reverberated (deep and long reverbs), divided between obsessions (the rhythms, percussions and circular minimalist sounds) and disturbances (distorted noises and radio signals). Everything will end in the broken dreams of Shattered Dreams, where distant sounds of a piano and an arp synth will emerge on the circular drone. - Fabio Fazzi, march 2020
